.. In Witch Bee My Name, Jimmy’s parents have married. Jimmy is struggling to define his new surname. He has been given the choice and he struggles to please everyone. The formation of his name as, Jimmy Bee Rockwood, he says sounds like an aging American Movie Star. He feels guided by legends from the Bee family and his deeply felt loyalty to his beloved Grandpa.
When Farid and Jimmy see a man ‘capturing’ beavers. Jimmy uses his new gift to morph into a tree to get closer.
When Farid sees a ghostly lady smiling in the window of the manor house, the boy’s race home double quick. They tell Lieve over the phone and decide they have to go back for another look!
Bailey, a friendly grocer, Auntie Muriel investigates by having a good gossip in his shop. Jimmy’s grandpa says she thinks she’s Miss Marple!
Grandpa thinks he’s the one related to the local gentry. When Jimmy’s gran sees twinkling lights around people. She figures she has high blood pressure! Gran was right, about something she had always said, she definitely is related to an old Scottish witch.
Muse worries about her daughter, Lou. The mysterious dark-haired man could lead Lou to the dark side.
A black Bentley car seems to be around a lot. Jimmy says it’s King Charles, but Lieve has seen the man and knows it not!
Back home the school apiary thrives, and a strange man knows Jimmy’s name!
The whole family became involved when they learn past generations made grave mistakes, creating much suffering and damage. Someone has to put it right but not alone.
The cover has now been made it looks fabulous, it is made from my own painting of the owl, the blue door , the raven and Jimmy with the fabulous background by the talented Kate McKracken.
